#14600 Frame Joining Kit #1

PushMaster Joiner
The PushMaster joining tool is made just for the hobby and do-it-yourself picture framer. The PushMaster inserts V-Nails which are used to join the frame corners. V-Nailing is the preferred method of joining used by professional framers, and is now available to the amateur picture framers. Used in combination with a clamp, the PushMaster produces a tight, secure corner and is suitable for high quality, low volume home framing.

The PushMaster tool is used to insert V-Nails into the base of wood moulding. The V-Nail pulls the corners together making a tight firm join. PushMaster can be used by hand pressure alone on most wood mouldings or gently hit with a "dead blow" mallet to insert the V-Nail into any hard timber frame. The frame must be held firmly together before v-nailing using a clamp. Any size V-Nail can be inserted into the frame using the PushMaster, and the instructions included with the tool kit gives you helpful advice on the best size V-Nnail and position suitable for most moulding types and styles.

The PushMaster is unique as it can also be used as a fitting up tool. Brads or Flexipoints (bendable tabs) can be placed into the grooves on either side of the head of the PushMaster. These are then pushed into the back of the frame to secure in the picture. It can also insert a screw eye - these are fitted into a slot in the end of the PushMaster. PushMaster, a truly versatile tool, designed to make the task of frame joining, affordable and within reach of the average home handyperson.

The PushMaster Kit contains:

  • PushMaster tool
  • 400 V-Nails in assorted sizes - makes approx 50 frames
  • instructions
  • starter pack of backing nails, flexipoints and screw eyes

Cord Clamp
The FrameCo Cord Clamp is an economical clamp ideal for the home framer or beginner. Clamps four corners at one time, but it is best to allow the glue applied to the corners of the frame to dry before joining starts. The reason for this is that the cord clamp cannot apply the same holding power to a corner as the Metal Strap Clamp or Corner Clamp.

  • Features exclusive corner "wings" to prevent the clamp slipping.
  • Clamps frames up to 40 x 60 cm.
  • Used in conjunction with a glued joint.
  • Ideal clamp for the beginner.
